Dear Parents,
Special greetings to all of you!
If you have a baptised child in year 3 or older, they are now eligible to receive the Sacrament of Reconciliation which they need to receive before receiving First Holy Communion. This Sacrament, also known as Confession or Penance, is a healing Sacrament since after receiving this Sacrament, we feel God’s love and forgiveness for us. It is appropriate to call this Sacrament Reconciliation as we are reconciled with God and forgiven for the things we have done that are not pleasing to God.
You will find a link below if you wish to enrol your child for this sacrament. All applications are due by 4 October 2025. We cannot accept late applications. If you wish your child to make their First Holy Communion in 2026, they need to make their Reconciliation in 2025. After we receive your application, we will send you a letter with the times of the lessons and the Date of First Reconciliation. 

Please do not send the application until all aspect of the application are complete.

Please note that participating in the Sacramental Program is a serious commitment on behalf of everyone participating. It is something very sacred to our faith and we treat it as such. If you cannot commit to the duration of the program, we understand if you wish to hold off to a future date. 

 

The dates for the lessons and reception of the Sacrament of Reconciliation are as follows:

 

Lessons take place on the: 

                                                   13th of October from 6:30pm - 8pm

                                                   20th of October from 6:30pm - 8pm

                                                   27th of October from 6:30pm - 8pm

                                                   4th of November from 6:30pm - 8pm

 

Reception of Communion will take place on

                                                    20th of November from 6:30pm

 

It is also assumed that during participation in the Sacramental Program, that the participant and their family will also be joining us on our Sunday liturgies as it is a Holy Day of Ogligation for Catholics to attend Sunday Mass.
